Fat that kola

The "Fat" is the healthy pig that wants to live in the open air,  “Che Kola” is synonymous with industrialization.

The installation, positioned on the beams that support the roof of the museum, represents the escape from an industrial food production system to return to the origins of a rural and genuine farm.

We are free to eat everything that the market offers us, but are we free to produce everything we eat?

Throughout the Western world, in order to place the majority of food on the market at the best price, it is necessary to industrialize its production, therefore the food we eat is increasingly approved.

The tradition of the pig

50 years ago, when the farmer's diet was 90% vegetarian, each family could raise 1-2 pigs to be consumed annually. Slaughtering a beast was considered a special event, a party that involved large and small communities by bringing together relatives and neighbors, this was asserted in a festive and harmonious context that strengthened the value of cultural aggregation, rituals now in disuse due to life changes of populations, such as the abandonment of rural life for life in the city.
